Is BonSplit really free for my friends?
Yes. Only the host (group creator) picks a plan. All invited members use BonSplit free forever and ad-free.
Do my friends need the app or an account?
No. Your friends simply open the shared link in the browser and add their expenses – no download and no sign-up.
How does switching from Splitwise work?
You create a new group in BonSplit and share the link. Open balances from Splitwise can be entered manually as starting values – after that everything runs in BonSplit.
Is there a transaction limit like in Splitwise?
No. Manual entries are unlimited and always free. Only the AI receipt scans are metered per plan and can be topped up as needed.
Is BonSplit GDPR-compliant? Where is the data stored?
